
Community Involvement
Owner Guyton Stone was born in Jamaica and moved to Indiantown, Florida at the age of fourteen. After moving to Florida, he has become heavily involved in the community. Over the years, Guyton Stone reestablished the local Cub Scouts Pack 818 and Boy Scouts of America Troop 818; he served as Scoutmaster for both. Guyton Stone’s community involvement also extends to the Business Development Board of Martin County, Martin Metropolitan Planning Organization, Treasure Coast Council of Local Government, the local Chamber of Commerce, Indiantown Rodeo, Indiantown Christmas Parade, Indiantown Youth Sports Club and Florida League of Cities Transportation Committee. He started Guyton Industries, LLC., in 2017 a certified general contracting company, retail and a custom furniture and cabinetry manufacturing business in the Village.
In January 2018, Guyton Stone ran for public office; and, in March 2018, he was sworn in as a Council Member with the Village of Indiantown. He was then selected amongst his fellow Council Members to serve as the first Vice Mayor and one year later the second Mayor of Indiantown.
Guyton Stone was awarded new business of the year in 2016 by the local Chamber of Commerce and he was also awarded Small Business of the Year in 2018 by the Business Development Board of Martin County Florida (BDBMC); he is also a certified general contractor and a licensed insurance agent in the state of Florida. Stuart Magazine recognized him as one of the “40 Under 40: Rising Stars of The Treasure Coast” in 2019. He was inducted into Marquis Who’s Who on June 4, 2021
Guyton Stone is Jamaican born and was the first Black Mayor of the Village.
In February 2024 Guyton Industries, LLC. relocation to Okeechobee, Florida where they quickly got involved in the community by joining the Okeechobee County Chamber of Commerce, Okeechobee County Board of Realtors and started supporting the local 4-H Clubs.
